As the previous Director of Financial Aid at Lake Erie College, I was afforded the opportunity to work closely with Karen Robinson, Director of Career and Personal Counseling. 

Karen’s dynamic personality and willingness to always “go the extra mile”, ability to empathize with others’ situations, and her ability to build commitment and motivation made her a popular staff member among her students.  Additionally, her ability to master different approaches to situations and flexibly respond also earned her the respect of both her co-workers and colleagues. 

She understands the nuances of the higher education industry—even to the point of making the coordination of resources an art form!  Karen always has the students’ best interest at heart and will make every attempt to meet their needs and expectations.  She knows how to balance risk and reward and never hesitated to ask for assistance in helping one of her students.

Personally, Karen’s honesty, exceptional fairness and willingness to listen won me over! I would recommend her highly and without reservation.
